Today’s Gentle Reminder: Be Careful How You Talk To Yourself

Today is a beautiful day to practice being kind to yourself.

This week I’m here with a gentle reminder that how you talk to yourself matters.

It can actually take a lot of work to listen for and identify your inner voice, also known as your inner parent. If you are on a healing journey you are probably familiar with the concepts of inner child healing and reparenting.

This is a great practice to support your ever deepening self-love and self-compassion.

I made this quick video reminder for you, to encourage and inspire you as you take the next step on your healing journey!

And if you’re looking for an actionable step to take today, here are some of my favorite ways to practice self-care and self-compassion. Pick one to practice today:

  • Get outside in nature to bask in the sun or go for a walk

  • Practice a guided meditation (I made one for you here: free meditation).

  • Listen to an inspiring podcast (one of my favorites is ‘A Line Podcast’).

  • Sit quietly and listen to healing music (I’m obsessed with East Forest for this).

Rooting for you! And I’m here for you.

If you’re looking for 1:1 support, please reach out. Me and my team offer holistic spiritual psychotherapy to help you rewire old patterns, end the battle with self-sabotage and support you as you step into creating a life you truly love.

The Transcript:

Be careful how you're talking to yourself. What you say does matter. It's a reflection of your mindset and how your head and your heart are communicating. When you notice that inner voice showing up that is critical, mean, harsh, judgmental, I want you to stop, put your hand on your heart, notice what's going on in your head, and look for what else is there.

Look for, find one kind thing you can say to yourself to begin to rewire. that part of you that is in negative pattern.

Wiring the brain is challenging, yes, but totally possible.

You got this. Keep going!
